Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Likewise collects when you join our waitlist, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We built Likewise around the idea that your financial data should be yours to control, and we try to hold ourselves to that same standard here.

Who we are

Likewise ("we," "us," "our") is a Canadian company operating joinlikewise.ca. You can reach us anytime at hello@joinlikewise.ca.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

• Your email address, so we can add you to the waitlist and contact you about launch.
• The question you vote for, if you take part in our launch-question vote.
• Referral information, if you join through a friend's referral link, or if others join through yours, we record that relationship so we can credit the right accounts.
• Basic technical signals used to confirm you're a real visitor rather than a bot (see the Cloudflare Turnstile section below).

We don't ask for your name, birthdate, or any financial information to join the waitlist.

How we use it

• To add you to the waitlist and let you know when Likewise launches
• To send occasional updates about our progress
• To run our launch-question vote and referral program, including calculating vote totals and referral bonuses
• To understand how many people are joining and where they're coming from, in aggregate, not to track you individually

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the waitlist. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Mailchimp — stores your email and sends our waitlist communications.
• Supabase — securely stores your vote choice and referral information.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — verifies that waitlist signups are coming from real visitors rather than automated bots. Turnstile may process limited technical signals (like IP address and browser characteristics) to do this. We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's built-in session storage to briefly remember your email address during signup, so that if you vote right after joining, your vote is correctly attached to your account. This information stays only in your browser for that session and isn't a tracking cookie.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information until launch, at which point we'll either invite you to create a real account (with your consent) or delete your waitlist data if you don't want to continue with us. You can ask us to delete your information at any time before that, see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information and remove you from the waitlist
• Withdraw consent to future communications at any time

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We'd encourage you to check back occasionally.
